Job summary

TMUS Global Solutions in Hyderabad is seeking a Software Engineer – Database Automation & AI to design, develop, and implement automation solutions that improve database platforms. You will work on provisioning, configuration, upgrades, backups, and automated workflows, incorporating AI-driven capabilities.

You will build REST APIs, IaC with Terraform/Ansible, integrate with cloud services, and collaborate with DB engineers to ensure high availability, DR, monitoring, and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of software engineering, automation engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps experience.
• Strong programming experience in Python.
• Experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Shell scripting.
• Experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
• Knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
• Experience building database or infrastructure automation.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience using Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps, or GitLab.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Bicep.
• Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions supporting enterprise database platforms.
• Build software solutions to automate database provisioning, patching, configuration management, upgrades, backups, validation, and operational workflows.
• Develop AI-enabled automation using LLMs, Generative AI, intelligent agents, and copilots.
• Build RESTful APIs, microservices, and self-service automation services.
• Develop automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
• Integrate automation with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, ARM Templates, Bicep, or CloudFormation.
• Develop integrations with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform services.
• Collaborate with Database Engineers to automate High Availability, Disaster Recovery, monitoring, backups, performance tuning, and lifecycle management.
• Implement AI-powered operational capabilities including anomaly detection, intelligent alerting, automated incident response, predictive analytics, and root cause analysis.
• Integrate with observability platforms including Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, Dynatrace, and OpenTelemetry.
• Write clean, maintainable, secure, scalable code and participate in code reviews, testing, and production support.
