Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering/science degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Instrumentation or Chemistry
• Experience in safety management, risk assessment, and OSHA standards preferred
• Ability to document and implement standards, guidelines and training materials

Responsibilities

• Ensure up-to-date documentation (standards and guidelines/procedures/training modules)
• Network steering team/subcommittee deliverables achievable
• Participate in audits of the relevant area of competency
• Support audits of the area/plant they are responsible for
• Conduct safety observations and analyze resulting actions to modify behaviours
• Ensure participation in Risk Management programs (Hazard Analysis, Incident Investigation and control measures)
• Impart training to enhance competency of the target group in the work area
• Participate in external industry bodies and forums
• Plan and conduct safety promotion to increase awareness in areas needing attention
