Job summary

Lotus Technicals Pvt. Ltd. seeks an HVAC site supervisor to lead installation and commissioning activities for HVAC systems, including AHUs, ducting, HEPA boxes, and instrumentation, on a project in Thane. You will verify drawings vs. site conditions, coordinate with design teams, and ensure adherence to schedules and safety norms.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail during HVAC duct fabrication, installation, and site execution.

• Ability to read and review AutoCAD HVAC engineering drawings with knowledge of abbreviations and symbols used.
• Ability to work on MS Project or equivalent project management software for tracking site progress.
• Ability to monitor HVAC installation activities for quality and compliance with drawings, specs, and standards.
• Good coordination skills for working with clients, contractors, project management, and other disciplines.

Responsibilities

• 1. To read and understand the complete HVAC system scope and project details as per the airflow and control diagram.
• 2. To verify the BOQ against the approved drawings and materials at site and flag variances to the Project Manager.
• 3. To receive, review, and verify all drawings against site conditions and report discrepancies to the Project Manager.
• 4. To coordinate with the design team for required changes in drawings with the site Project Manager.
• 5. To ensure no work is executed without approved drawings suitable for site conditions.
• 6. To ensure the site is equipped with required utilities, tools, tackles, and equipment.
• 7. To brief team on daily activities per the works schedule.
• 8. To supervise installation of the complete HVAC system including AHUs, ducts, HEPA boxes, grilles, filters, risers, instrumentation, etc.
• 9. To obtain daily reports, highlight deviations, and communicate corrective actions and work plan.
• 10. To verify installation work daily and ensure corrections are completed.
• 11. To assist team in identifying BOQ items and coordinate with management for materials.
• 12. To ensure work is done per quality, productivity, schedule, and safety standards.
• 13. To comply with all workplace safety norms at the site.
• 14. To attend site meetings and keep the Project Manager informed of issues and resolutions.
• 15. To prepare daily site reports detailing completed work and progress against plan.
• 16. To report changes with explanations for delays or variations.
• 17. To monitor attendance and ensure working hours are respected.
• 18. To prepare stage-wise completion reports and obtain client approvals where required.
• 19. To ensure tools are handled properly and not misplaced.
• 20. To manage and monitor measurement of HVAC works including ducts and ADPs.
• 21. To supervise leakage testing of AHUs, ductwork, and piping pressure tests.
• 22. To supervise testing, validation, air-balancing, and commissioning activities.
• 23. To coordinate HVAC qualification activities IQ/OQ/PQ and ensure tests per SOPs.
• 24. To coordinate with client and PM for unforeseen circumstances and obtain approvals for changes.
• 25. To review inspection and quality-control records for activities.
• 26. To ensure as-built drawings are prepared and client acknowledgements obtained for completed activities.

Job description

1. Toread and understand the complete HVAC systemscope and project details as per the Airflow and Control Diagram.

2. Toverify the Bill of Quantities (BOQ)against the approveddrawings and materialsavailable at the site and highlight any variances to the site Project Managerfor necessary action.

3. Toreceive, review, and verify all the construction drawings against actual siteconditions and report any discrepancies orsite-related issuesto the Project Manager.

4. Tocoordinate with the design team for required changes in the constructiondrawings in consultation with the site Project Manager.

5. Toensure that no work is executed at the site without approved constructiondrawings suitable for the actual siteconditions .

6. Toensure that the site is equipped with the required utilities, tools, tackles,and equipment for the team members.

7. Tobrief team members on the daily work activities as per the approved workschedule.

8. Tosupervise the installation of the complete Heating, Ventilation, and AirConditioning (HVAC) system, including AirHandling Units (AHUs), ducting, insulation, High-EfficiencyParticulate Air (HEPA) boxes, grilles, filters, risers,instrumentation, etc.

9. Toobtain daily work reports from the team members, highlight deviations from the constructiondrawings, and communicate the required correctiveactions and subsequent work plan.

10. Toverify all the installation work carried out by team members on a daily basis and ensure that necessary corrections, if any, arecompleted.

11. To assist team members in identifying the appropriate BOQ itemsand coordinate with the project management team to obtain the requiredmaterials for daily work activities.

12. Toensure that the team members execute work inaccordance with the required quality, productivity, schedule, and safetystandards at the site.

13. To comply with and ensure adherence toall applicable workplace and safety norms at the site.

14. Toattend site meetings regularly and keep the Project Manager informed about siteissues, proposed resolutions, work schedules, progress, and other site-related matters .

15. Toprepare daily site reports detailing the work completed and monitor theprogress against the project plan.

16. Toreport any changes or deviations, along with appropriate explanations fordelays or other variations.

17. Tomonitor the attendance of the workmen at the site and ensure that they work asper the stipulated working hours.

18. Toprepare the stage-wise work-completion reports and obtain the client’s approvalfor completed activities, wherever required.

19. Toensure that the tools and tackles are handled properly, maintained in goodcondition, and not misplaced at the site.

20. Tomanage and monitor the measurement of all types of HVAC works, including ducting,Air Distribution Products (ADPs), and other associated items.

21. Tomanage and supervise leakage testing of Air Handling Units(AHUs), ductwork,and pressure testing of piping systems.

22. Tosupervise the HVAC system testing, validation, air-balancing, and commissioningactivities.

23. To coordinate and supervise HVAC qualificationactivities, including Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ), and ensure that therequired tests are conducted as per approved protocols and Standard OperatingProcedures (SOPs).

24. Tocoordinate with the client, the project management team, and the site ProjectManager regarding any unforeseen circumstances that may arise at the site andobtain the necessary approval before making decisions that affect the projectscope, cost, quality, or schedule.

25. Toreview inspection reports and quality-controlrecords for the completedand ongoing project activities.

26. Toensure that as-built drawings are prepared and updated based on actual site executionand that the required acknowledgements are obtained from the client forcompleted activities.

Requirements
