Job summary

Hero MotoCorp in Jaipur seeks a Sr. Engineer- Cyber Security to own end-to-end security for next-generation connected vehicle platforms, translating WP.29 and ISO/SAE 21434 into hardware and software requirements and leading validation and penetration testing.

You will work in Vehicle Security and E/E Architecture within Hero Cit R&D, collaborating across teams to advance cybersecurity requirements, testing and supplier interactions, with strong ownership and accountability.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive cybersecurity or embedded systems security.
• Knowledge of CAN, CANFD, LIN.
• Familiarity with UDS/ISO 14229, OBD-II/SAE J1979, DoIP.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end security lifecycle for next-gen connected vehicle platforms.

Sr. Engineer- Cyber Security

A purpose driven role for you

• We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Engineer with 7+ years of experience in the automotive domain.
• The candidate will be working in the Vehicle Security and E/E Architecture department of HERO CIT R&D. The person in charge will be expected to own the end-to-end security lifecycle of our next-generation connected vehicle platforms. The insights and architectures developed by him/her will serve as the core defence against evolving physical and remote attack vectors. The candidate will be responsible for translating complex regulatory mandates (like WP.29 and ISO/SAE 21434) into actionable hardware and software requirements, deploying embedded security controls, and acting as the primary custodian of vehicle security validation and penetration testing.

Academic Qualification & Experience

BTech/MTech in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, or Embedded Systems. Advanced Qualifications are an advantage.

Technical Skills/Knowledge

• Exposure to automotive cybersecurity, embedded systems security, or E/E architecture development
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., TUV SUD Automotive Cybersecurity Professional) are preferred.
• Knowledge on Automotive Communication Networks CAN, CANFD, LIN
• Hands-on experience with Vector CANoe/CANalyzer and Diagnostic Tool Set (DTS).
• Strong understanding of UDS (ISO 14229), OBD-II (ISO 15031/SAE J1979), and DoIP (ISO 13400).
• Strong sense of achievement and ownership

Behavioural Skills

• Unbiased and fair approach, Team player.
• Experience in CFT working under time constraint and under pressure
• Good communication and intercultural skills
