• Web Services: RESTful Web Services, XML, JSON.
• Databases/Servers: MySQL, Tomcat, JBoss, SQL Server, MongoDB.
• Frontend: Debug UI issues in Angular/JavaScript/TypeScript.
• CI/CD: Jenkins, AWS CodeBuild or similar.
• Night shift readiness and self‑start attitude.

Responsibilities

Job Description

The Software Engineer (Production Support) ensures the stability and performance of our world‑class background check platform. This role is dedicated to real‑time monitoring, troubleshooting, and code‑level defect resolution during critical business hours. You will work cross‑functionally with infrastructure and security teams to maintain high system availability.

Shift Timings

• Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Night Shift: 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM

Note: Candidates must be comfortable with these timings and potential weekend rotations as business needs dictate.

Responsibilities

• Application Support: Provide high-priority troubleshooting and issue resolution across all environments.
• Incident Management: Monitor system health and respond to application alerts during night-shift operations to ensure zero downtime.
• Defect Resolution: Debug and write efficient code fixes for production issues using Java and Spring Boot.
• Root Cause Analysis: Perform investigations into system failures and implement permanent fixes.
• Deployment Support: Manage and support build and deployment processes (CI/CD) during off-peak hours.
• Communication: Provide clear handovers between shifts and updates to stakeholders on critical production incidents.

Qualifications

• Education: BE/BTECH/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience: 4+ years in Java development or production support.
• Backend Tech: Java (i18n), Spring Boot, J2EE (JSP/Servlets, EJB3, JMS, JDBC, JMX), message queuing/caching (SQS, Redis, Memcached).
• Web Services: RESTful Web Services/SOA, XML, XSL, JAX-RS, and JSON.
• Database/Servers: MYSQL, Tomcat, JBoss, SQL Server, and MongoDB.
• Frontend: Ability to debug UI issues in Angular, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Tools: Experience with Jenkins, AWS CodeBuild, or similar CI/CD tools.
• Mindset: Self-starter who can work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision.
