Job summary

Nected is seeking an experienced DevOps/Cloud Engineer to own the end-to-end infrastructure for multiple products in a fast-paced environment.

You will design scalable cloud architectures on AWS and Azure, implement IaC with Terraform and CloudFormation, manage Kubernetes with Helm, and build robust CI/CD pipelines." You will ensure reliability, security, and cost optimization while handling incident management and on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps / Cloud Engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (mandatory) and working knowledge of Azure.
• Deep understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Hands-on experience with Helm charts and microservices deployment.
• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash / Python).
• Experience handling production systems and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end infrastructure and deployment lifecycle for one or more products.
• Design, build and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS and/or Azure.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Build, manage, and optimise Kubernetes clusters and deployments using Helm charts.
• Implement and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
• Ensure high system reliability, uptime, and performance through monitoring and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
• Perform infrastructure upgrades, patching, and cost optimisation across environments.
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure quick resolution with minimal downtime.
• Manage secrets, access controls, and cloud security best practices (IAM, networking, encryption)
• Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to enable faster and safer releases.
• Document infrastructure, processes, and best practices for scalability and maintainability.

• Experience with monitoring/logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash / Python).
• Experience handling production systems and incident management.
• Ability to independently manage and own infrastructure for a product.

Competencies Required:

• Experience in multi-cloud environments.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance (SOC2 etc. )
• Experience in high-scale or startup environments.
• Exposure to cost optimisation and FinOps practices.
