Job description

We are looking for a Senior Developer – SSIS & Qlik with 5–7 years of experience in data integration, ETL development, SQL, and business intelligence. The candidate should have strong hands‑on experience in SSIS and Qlik Sense/QlikView, with a solid understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and enterprise data integration.

The role will involve designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting data integration and BI solutions while working closely with Data Architects, Business Analysts, and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain ETL solutions using SSIS.

• Develop and maintain complex SSIS packages for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

• Implement incremental loads, data validation, error handling, logging, and reconciliation processes.

• Develop and maintain Qlik Sense/QlikView dashboards, applications, and data models.

• Write and optimize Qlik load scripts for data transformation and application development.

• Integrate data from multiple sources including SQL Server, databases, flat files, APIs, and enterprise applications.

• Develop complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions.

• Analyze and resolve data quality, ETL, dashboard, and production issues.

• Perform performance tuning of SSIS packages, SQL queries, and Qlik applications.

• Work with Data Architects to implement data models and integration solutions according to established architecture standards.

• Participate in technical design discussions and provide development‑level inputs on solution approaches.

• Perform unit testing, integration testing, defect resolution, and production support.

• Participate in code reviews and follow established development and coding standards.

• Maintain technical documentation for ETL processes, data flows, Qlik applications, and support procedures.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high‑quality data solutions.

Required Skills & Experience SSIS / ETL – Must Have

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with SSIS.

• Strong experience developing and maintaining SSIS packages.

• Good understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data integration patterns.

• Experience with:

  • Control Flow and Data Flow

  • Lookup, Conditional Split, Derived Column, Merge/Join transformations

  • Execute SQL and Script Tasks

  • Error handling and logging

  • Incremental/delta data loads

  • Package configuration and deployment

  • ETL scheduling and monitoring

• Experience troubleshooting SSIS failures and production issues.

Qlik – Must Have

• 2+ years of hands‑on experience with Qlik Sense and/or QlikView.

• Strong knowledge of Qlik scripting and data loading.

• Experience developing dashboards, reports, and analytical applications.

• Good understanding of Qlik associative data model.

• Experience with data transformation and cleansing within Qlik.

• Ability to optimize Qlik applications and load scripts for performance.

• Experience working with multiple data sources in Qlik.

SQL / Database – Must Have

• Strong hands‑on experience with SQL Server and T‑SQL.

• Ability to write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions.

• Good understanding of joins, subqueries, CTEs, temporary tables, and window functions.

• Basic‑to‑good understanding of SQL performance tuning and indexing.

• Experience working with large volumes of data.

Data Warehousing – Must Have

• Good understanding of data warehouse concepts and dimensional modeling.

• Knowledge of:

  • Fact and dimension tables

  • Star and snowflake schemas

  • Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD)

  • ETL data flows

  • Data quality and reconciliation

• Ability to understand and implement solutions based on logical and physical data models.

Good to Have

• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, or Microsoft Fabric.

• Exposure to cloud‑based data platforms.

• Experience with Power BI or other BI technologies.

• Knowledge of Git and Azure DevOps.

• Experience with CI/CD and automated deployment processes.

• Exposure to data governance, metadata, and data quality practices.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Experience & Education

• 5–7 years of overall IT experience in data engineering, ETL, BI, or application development.

• Strong hands‑on experience with SSIS, Qlik, and SQL Server.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Experience working on enterprise‑scale data integration or BI projects is preferred.
