Medline India is expanding its IT operations in Pune and seeks a SAP ABAP Sr Developer/Specialist with strong ABAP/PI experience on SAP ECC and SAP HANA platforms. The role engages with portfolio and functional teams on complex requirements, reviews designs, estimates efforts, and guides the team through project processes and deliverables.

You will lead upskilling, promote SAP best practices, and mentor developers in agile and DevOps.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience designing and developing SAP ABAP-based applications.
• Ability to work across multiple IT teams and communicate status updates clearly.
• Experience with ABAP-Units and performance-tuning techniques.
• Experience in designing RICEFW objects in SAP modules like Vistex, SD, FICO, etc.
• Experience in Agile / SCRUM environments and SAP DevOps would be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate SAP project development and support across SAP ECC, HANA, and PI landscapes.
• Drive technical designs and help formulate complex SAP solutions.
• Mentor developers and promote SAP best practices.
• Review technical designs and artifacts with stakeholders.
• Lead root-cause analysis and implement sustainable fixes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile setup.

To be able to support exponential growth over the years, Medline is expanding its IT operations in Pune. We have need for SAP ABAP Sr. Developer/Specialist with strong ABAP / PI application development experience on SAP ECC and SAP HANA platforms. As a Senior Technology leader his / her role is to engage with various portfolio / Functional team on complex requirements and problem definition. He / She will propose the complex solutions, review proposed designs by team, the efforts estimates and guide team on project processes, deliverables. You will deal in the contribution on training and in-house capability building with the objective of building high quality and value-adding SAP technical team who provides solutions to meet the growing and changing needs of the Medline landscape. One will need to shepherd the team on team upskilling and provide guidance on building agile and DevOps. We are seeking a dynamic, hard-working professional with a solid education and a desire to work for a fast-paced, large corporate organization. In addition to exceptional leadership and analytical skills, you must have a “roll-up your sleeves” attitude.

Required Skills / Experience:

• 12+ years of experience in designing and developing SAP ABAP based applications with preferred exposure to interfaces using middleware solutions
• Ability to work across multiple teams within the IT organization.
• Must be able to affectively work with Key portfolio & management stakeholders and be able to communicate clearly on work status updates.

• Ability to carry out feasibility analysis for project needs and propose high level designs with effort estimates.
• Ability to prioritize and plan technical work
• Good understanding of object oriented programming concepts, HANA code push down techniques, performance-tuning techniques in SAP etc.
• Hands-on experience on ABAP-Units is required.
• Should have good experience in designing RICEFW objects in SAP Modules like SAP Vistex, SD, FICO, etc.
• Must have worked in Agile team / SCRUM Teams.
• Person having knowledge / tools experience relevant for SAP DevOps will be preferred
• Should carry excellent communication & collaboration skills.

Desired Skills:

• Experience in Vistex Billback, Customer Rebates and Chargeback module Implementation at a large distributor/manufacturer.
• Pharma/Healthcare distribution experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate SAP project development and support activities of SAP landscape systems (SAP ECC and SAP HANA, SAP PI ).
• Drive technical designs and help team in formulating complex technical solutions on SAP Landscape systems.
• Help with large, complex development designs and prepare work plan to deliver the same.
• Review technical solution and design including artifact review.
• Mentor team in quality, including the ability to promote encourage and enforce Medline best practices.
• Groom and mentor the developers on various technical skills.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Work closely with multiple teams in an agile environment.
• Contribute to reviews and frequent feedbacks to the individual team members.
• Document and update the existing SAP environment and work with Cross IT and business teams to modernize the SAP environment and developments practices.
• Lead root cause analysis activities and work with team members to implement solutions.

Educational Qualification

Four-year degree with a specialization in Computer science / Electronics with good academics Certification in SAP Application Development / object oriented programming languages / Middleware technologies are preferred
