Job summary

Medline India is expanding its IT operations in Pune and seeks a SAP ABAP Sr. Developer/Specialist with strong ABAP and PI development experience on ECC and HANA platforms.

The Senior Technology leader will engage with portfolio and functional teams on complex requirements, propose designs, estimate efforts, and guide the team through projects, processes and delivery. You will contribute to training, upskilling, and building an agile, DevOps-oriented SAP technical team to meet Medline’s growing

Qualifications

• 4+ years designing and developing SAP ABAP applications
• Experience with interfaces using middleware solutions
• Able to work across multiple IT teams and communicate status updates
• Ability to perform feasibility analysis and propose high level designs with estimates
• Strong understanding of OOP, HANA push-down techniques, and performance tuning
• Hands-on ABAP-Units experience required
• Design experience in RICEFW objects in SAP SD/MM/FICO/PP
• Experience working in Agile teams/SCRUM
• Knowledge of SAP DevOps tools preferred
• SAP PI/PO delivers interfaces between SAP and Non-SAP systems

Job Summary

To be able to support exponential growth over the years, Medline is expanding its IT operations in Pune. We have need for SAP ABAP Sr. Developer/Specialist with strong ABAP / PI application development experience on SAP ECC and SAP HANA platforms. As a Senior Technology leader his / her role is to engage with various portfolio / Functional team on complex requirements and problem definition. He / She will propose the complex solutions, review proposed designs by team, the efforts estimates and guide team on project processes, deliverables. You will deal in the contribution on training and in-house capability building with the objective of building high quality and value-adding SAP technical team who provides solutions to meet the growing and changing needs of the Medline landscape. One will need to shepherd the team on team upskilling and provide guidance on building agile and DevOps.

Job Description Skills / Experience:

• 4+ years of experience in designing and developing SAP ABAP based applications with preferred exposure to interfaces using middleware solutions
• Ability to work across multiple teams within the IT organization. Must be able to affectively work with Key portfolio & management stakeholders and be able to communicate clearly on work status updates.

• Hands-on experience on ABAP-Units is required.
• Should have good experience in designing RICEFW objects in SAP Modules like SAP SD, MM, FICO, PP etc.
• Must have worked in Agile team / SCRUM Teams.
• Person having knowledge / tools experience relevant for SAP DevOps will be preferred
• SAP PI/PO Developer (Process Integration / Process Orchestration) is responsible for delivering interfaces between SAP and Non-SAP systems that combine business processes with software SAP development tools.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate SAP project development and support activities of SAP landscape systems (SAP ECC and SAP HANA, SAP APO, SAP PI ).
• Drive technical designs and help team in formulating complex technical solutions on SAP Landscape systems.
• Help with large, complex development designs and prepare work plan to deliver the same.
• Review technical solution and design including artifact review.
• Mentor team in quality, including the ability to promote encourage and enforce Medline best practices.
• Groom and mentor the developers on various technical skills.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Work closely with multiple teams in an agile environment.
• Contribute to reviews and frequent feedbacks to the individual team members.
• Document and update the existing SAP environment and work with Cross IT and business teams to modernize the SAP environment and developments practices.
• Lead root cause analysis activities and work with team members to implement solutions.

Educational Qualification

• Four-year degree with a specialization in Computer science / Electronics with good academics
• Certification in SAP Application Development / object oriented programming languages / Middleware technologies are preferred
