Jcbl in India seeks an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer focused on automotive seating to join our product team. You will design and develop components using Catia V5, and collaborate with manufacturing and customers to ensure specs are met.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in seating design, holds a Diploma or B.Tech/B.E., and demonstrates proficiency in Catia V5 and SolidWorks, with a strong eye for cost efficiency and manufacturability.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for automotive seats using Catia V5 software.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design meets manufacturing requirements and customer specifications.


• Conduct design reviews, analyze designs for manufacturability, and optimize part geometry for cost reduction without compromising performance.


• Develop detailed drawings, models, and documentation for production purposes.


• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.

Desired Candidate Profile

• min 7 years of experience in mechanical design engineering with a focus on automotive seats or related fields (seating).


• Diploma or B.Tech/B.E. degree in Any Specialization; relevant certifications preferred.


• Proficiency in Solid Works or similar CAD software; expertise in Catia V5 required.
