Job summary

Sabre Travel Technologies is seeking a Sr Cloud Engineer to lead a container platform on GKE in a hybrid setup. You will provide technical leadership, mentor the team, and develop runbooks and SOPs to ensure reliability.

Role requires hands-on Kubernetes, scripting, and Terraform skills, with collaboration across Product, SRE, and support teams to deliver enterprise-grade cloud services.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of experience with Kubernetes Platform.
• 3-4 years of scripting/automation (Python or Shell).
• 2-3 years of Terraform experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a container platform using GKE on GCP.
• Collaborate with Product, SRE, and support teams to rollout new features.
• Manage lifecycle of GKE addons (Anthos Service Mesh, security tools, observability).
• Implement best practices to meet internal SLA/SLOs.

External And Internal Job Posting Description Technology Engineering team is looking for a talented Sr Cloud Engineer. As a team lead, you will assume additional responsibilities, including providing technical leadership to the team, creating comprehensive runbooks, and developing reliability Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This role requires you to guide and mentor team members, ensuring the implementation of best practices in technical operations.

What will you achieve?

• Build & manage container platform with GKE on GCP
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders - Product, other SRE and support teams, to rollout new features
• Manage lifecycle of GKE addons - Anthos Service Mesh, security tools, instrumentation, observability
• Implementing best practices, to meet internal SLA/SLO's of the platform

Must Have skills
