Job summary

Dynatech Systems in India is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with strong D365 F&O Finance functional expertise. You will gather requirements, conduct Fit-Gap analyses, and design configuration to meet finance needs across GL, AP, AR, FA, budgeting, and taxation.

You will prepare BRDs/FRDs/FDDs, translate business requirements into functional specs, support SIT/UAT, data migration, and go-live activities, and provide end-user training to ensure smooth adoption within client teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; CA or CA Inter qualifies.
• 4+ years hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365 F&O Finance Functional consulting.
• Strong understanding of D365 F&O Finance modules and accounting processes.
• Experience with requirement gathering, Fit-Gap analysis, configuration, and functional documentation.
• Hands-on experience supporting SIT, UAT, implementations, data migration, and production support.
• Experience working directly with clients and conducting requirement workshops.
• Understanding of integration points across D365 F&O Finance and related modules.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements through client meetings, stakeholder interviews, and requirement workshops.
• Conduct business process analysis and Fit-Gap assessments to identify process improvements and recommend appropriate D365 F&O solutions.
• Configure and support D365 F&O Finance modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, Cash and Bank Management, and Taxation.
• Support project management, inventory, and costing processes where they intersect with finance requirements.
• Prepare Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), Functional Design Documents (FDDs), functional specifications, and user manuals.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and coordinate with technical teams for development, integrations, and issue resolution.
• Prepare and execute System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios and support defect resolution.

Technical Competency

• Financial Processes: General accounting, journal processing, financial closing, reconciliations, accounts management, and financial controls.
• Functional Configuration: Finance module setup, business rules, financial dimensions, workflows, and related configurations.
• Business Analysis: Requirement gathering, Fit-Gap analysis, process mapping, gap assessment, and solution recommendations.
• Functional Documentation: BRDs, FRDs, FDDs, functional specifications, process flows, and user manuals.
• Testing & Validation: SIT, UAT, test case preparation, defect tracking, data validation, and reconciliation.
• Data & Integration: Data migration, data quality, and understanding of integrations across D365 F&O modules.
• Client Engagement: Requirement workshops, stakeholder communication, end-user training, and functional support.

Qualifications

• Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, costing, and financial process optimization.Familiarity with Agile/Scrum project delivery and change management practices.
