Job summary

Aftershoot is seeking a Backend Engineer to build scalable cloud infrastructure and maintain microservices. You’ll design and optimize our cloud stack with a focus on performance, reliability, and observability, ideally using GCP.

You will develop and operate cloud services, implement monitoring with Grafana and Prometheus, and collaborate with product teams to ship robust features for photographers worldwide.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with cloud services and infrastructure (GCP preferred, AWS or Azure acceptable).
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Infrastructure-As-Code Principles.
• Experience building and operating microservices architectures with a high standard of code quality.
• Experience with observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus).
• Hands-on with coding in Golang/Node/Java/Python.

Your Mission

We're seeking an experienced Backend Engineer (SDE 2/SSE 1) with strong backend and cloud engineering skills to join our team. In this role, you'll build and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure leveraging cloud technologies, preferably GCP.

What You Will Be Doing

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on public cloud platforms.
• Develop and operate microservices-based applications.
• Implement comprehensive monitoring and observability solutions.

What We’re Looking For
