Aftershoot is hiring a Content Marketing Manager to drive our content strategy for photographers worldwide. You'll own planning, briefing, writing, editing, and publishing while maintaining a hands-off approach to execution.
You'll grow the Aftershoot blog into a premier resource, create long-form assets (ebooks, guides) and lead distribution across newsletters, social, and partner channels. Collaboration with design, product, and SEO teams is essential.
At Aftershoot, we’re building a global community of photographers who spend less time behind their screens and more time behind the lens. Every feature we create, every update we ship, is designed to make post-processing easier, faster, and smarter for photographers around the world.
From culling to editing to retouching. Our AI tools do all the heavy lifting, so photographers can focus on what they do best: capturing moments, telling stories, and creating magic.
We’re a fast-growing, passionate team backed over 200K+ active users globally. Double-digit ARR in less than 4 years, amazing investors and team who truly believe in our mission.
Our mission is clear: Become the default companion for every photographer in the world.
If you care deeply about building meaningful products, working with curious and driven teammates, and being part of a team that genuinely loves what they do, we’d love to meet you.
Let’s create the future of AI in photography, together.
As a Content Marketing Manager, you'll be responsible for executing the company's content strategy and driving engagement through various channels. We're seeking a creative individual with strong writing skills and the ability to produce content that resonates with our audience of professional photographers.
Help shape the content strategy and own its execution: from planning and briefing to writing, editing, and publishing, without needing hand-holding
Grow the Aftershoot blog into the go-to resource for photographers, built to rank in search and show up in AI answers
Create long-form, conversion-focused content that drives signups and trials, including MOFU/BOFU blogs, comparison and alternative pages, ebooks, guides, templates, and gated assets
Run the SEO and AEO process for content: keyword and intent research, detailed briefs, internal linking, and regular refreshes of existing pages
Own distribution and repurposing for everything we publish, so each piece reaches photographers across newsletter, social, and partner channels
Manage freelancers and agencies, and be the final quality check on everything that goes live
Interview photographers, product teams, and internal experts so the content carries real insight instead of rewriting what already ranks
Track performance (traffic, rankings, conversions, trials, and pipeline contribution), report on it regularly, and turn what you learn into action
Work with design, product, SEO, and lifecycle teams to keep messaging and brand voice consistent
4–5 years of content marketing experience, ideally at a SaaS company (B2B or B2SMB)
A portfolio that includes long-form and conversion-focused work: ebooks or gated content, MOFU/BOFU blogs, comparison pages
Strong hands-on SEO skills: you've written briefs, grown organic traffic and MQLs, and can show results
Experience distributing and repurposing content across channels (not only creating it)
A sharp editorial eye: you can take a freelancer's draft and make it publishable, and you understand the difference between "fine" and "good"
A track record of owning projects end-to-end with minimal supervision
Comfort with analytics and SEO tools (GA4, Search Console, PostHog, Ahrefs or Semrush, or similar)
Familiarity with photography or creator tools is a plus
