Job summary

Cognizant Technology Solutions in Bangalore is seeking an experienced Playwright Automation Tester to design, develop, and maintain automated tests using Playwright. You will build test frameworks in TypeScript/JavaScript and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure high-quality software releases.

The role requires 6–10 years of hands-on experience, strong knowledge of web technologies, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive test stability and comprehensive reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Playwright.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with Playwright Test or similar frameworks.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, DOM and REST APIs.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with cross-browser testing.
• Excellent debugging and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts using Playwright.

• Perform E2E, UI, API and regression testing.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.).

• Collaborate with developers, product teams, and QA teams.
• Perform cross-browser testing (Chromium, Firefox, WebKit).
