Job summary

Millennium is seeking a Reference Data Operations Specialist to manage securites in the Global Security Master. You will proactively monitor market data events and corporate actions, coordinating with internal teams and external data vendors to ensure accurate, timely updates.

You should bring 2-5 years in financial services operations, strong knowledge of equities and fixed income, and experience with major data vendors.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years experience in financial services operations, broker-dealer or asset management.
• Strong knowledge of equities, fixed income and derivatives.
• Experience with Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Markit (S&P Global), ICE or other data vendors.
• Ability to implement and maintain new data systems, procedures and controls.
• Solid SQL basics and strong MS Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate creation and maintenance of tradable securities in Global Security Master.
• Oversee data quality checks via system and business validations.
• Monitor corporate actions and market data events to prevent downstream disruptions.
• Liaise with front, middle, back-office and external data vendors to resolve ad hoc issues.
• Collaborate with Development on requirements and design improvements for Security Master.

Meet the Team

The Operations and Middle Office department is one of the largest groups at Millennium. The Data Operations team resides within the Control function of Ops MO and is responsible for overseeing the firms Global Security Master through various data quality measures. The team is also responsible for managing processes to onboard new securities and attributes. We are seeking a driven and thorough Reference Data Operations Specialist to join our team. Ideally, you will be a self-starter with close attention to detail and a strong background in financial services industry - specifically in Security Master and Reference Data. What You''ll Do

• Ensuring accurate creation and maintenance of all tradable securities in Millenniums Global Security Master.
• Oversee the completion of Data Quality control checks via system and business validations.
• Monitor Corporate Actions and Market Data events to proactively ensure processing and avoid disruptions to downstream interfaces.
• Liaise and resolve ad hoc issues raised from internal front, middle and back-office clients as well as external data vendors.
• Work with Development on requirements, assist in design and implementation of new processes, workflows to improve Security Master for firm stakeholders.

What You Bring

• 2 - 5 years of experience in financial services, ideally in operations at a broker-dealer or asset management firm with some experience in Security Master/Reference Data.
• Strong knowledge of financial instruments including equities, fixed income and derivatives.
• Experience working with Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Markit (SP Global), ICE and other Data Vendors.
• Ability to implement and maintain new systems, procedures, and controls.
• Solid understanding of basic SQL queries, proficient MS Excel.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience supporting senior stakeholders.
• Must be able to meet deadlines and work well with a team environment.
• Self-directed, diligent problem solver with a desire to contribute to Millenniums reputation and success.
