Job summary

DXC Technology is seeking a Chartered Accountant or CPA with 0–3 years of accounting experience to join its finance team in India. You will provide technical accounting expertise on US GAAP matters and drive MEC, QEC and YEC closures, plus support US GAAP group reporting for 10K/10Q filings.

You will manage Local GAAP audits (statutory, tax, GST/VAT, internal), own balance sheet accounts, assist month-end analytics, and ensure SOX controls. Proficiency in SAP, BW, BPC and MS Excel is expected.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA with 0–3 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with GAAP and accounting software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Specific deliverables

• Provide technical accounting expertise on various US GAAP accounting matters
• Drive the MEC, QEC and YEC closure activities
• Work closely on the group reporting under US GAAP and submission to the corporate which enable them to file the 10K and 10Q reporting
• Manage and support the conduct of various audits under Local GAAP (includes Statutory audit, Tax audit, GST/VAT audits and Internal Audit)
• Take ownership for the various balance sheet accounts
• Assist manager in month end review and analytics
• Ensure compliance with Company accounting policies and the application of generally acceptable accounting principles
• Should have sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices and demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ensure compliance with internal control policies in a SOX environment
• Analyze the effect of statutory accounting practices and studies regulations and guidance to ensure correct application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Engage with the technical team to derive the accounting conclusions for the significant transactions.
• Ensure for accounting of leasing on a timely manner
• Working knowledge of - SAP, BW, BPC and proficient in MS Excel Basic

Qualifications and Skills

• Should be a Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant.
• 0 - 3 years of accounting or finance experience
• Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software
• Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with less experienced accountants and support personnel
• Well organized with ability to prioritize
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong presentation skills for educating internal clients on accounting principles
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
