Job summary

DXC Technology in Tamil Nadu seeks a seasoned finance professional to lead GL accounting, drive SOX compliance, and partner with regional controllership. The role encompasses mentoring a finance team, delivering month-end closings, and implementing process improvements.

Ideal candidates have extensive GL experience, offshore support exposure, and strong communication skills to interact with auditors and cross-functional partners. The position is full-time in India.

Qualifications

• CA with 5 to 7 years of relevant GL accounting experience in controllership/shared services.
• B.Com / M.Com / ICWA with 11+ years of relevant GL accounting experience.
• Candidates from IT/ Telecom would be the most appropriate fit.
• 3+ years of people management experience in finance teams.
• Exposure to offshore finance support models is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Manages lease accounting processes and functions for multiple entities globally.
• Owns identified SOX controls and ensures compliance in the operating environment.
• Partners with Region Controllership and Business Finance teams to keep accounts healthy.
• Liaises with Internal Controls and auditors; supports timely controls testing.
• Delivers KPIs and drives improvements for transparent balance sheet reporting.
• Identifies automation opportunities with Process Excellence and RPA teams.
• Responsible for hiring, setting and monitoring annual performance plans, coaching.
• Ensures appropriate tools are in place to support the team and processes.
• Creates new operational efficiencies and cost savings through process improvements.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manages Lease accounting processes and functions for multiple entities in Globally. Functions include Financial Accounting, Book Closures, Flash Reporting & Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Owns identified SOX controls and secures compliance in the operating environment
• Partners with Region Controllership and Business Finance teams in the region to keep the accounts in healthy state
• Liaises with Internal Controls team & auditors lends the right support to enable timely completion of controls testing. Own the mitigation plan for audit observations and drive open issues to satisfactory closure
• Delivers on KPIs and drives improvement to provide a transparent view on the balance sheet accounts, drives closure of open items with clear action plan
• Partners with Process Excellence and RPA team to identify automation opportunities, strategize and execute the plans
• Responsible for hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development
• Ensures that the proper tools are in place to support the team and the processes
• Creates new operational efficiencies and cost savings within the organization using process improvement

TYPICAL OUTPUTS & DELIVERABLES

• Month end process deliverables (including reconciliations and journals) and analysis
• Analysis requested by internal / external auditors

RELEVANT KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• CA with 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience in GL Accounting Function in any Controllership / Shared Services in Service / Manufacturing Industry
• B. Com / M. Com / ICWA with 11+ years of relevant work experience in GL Accounting Function in any Controllership / Shared Services in Service / Manufacturing Industry
• Candidates from IT / Telecom would be most appropriate fit and preferred
• 3+ years of people management experience in finance managing Financial Analysts & Sr. Financial Analysts
• Prior exposure to Finance Support in IT Services industry.
• Experience in an integrated offshore business finance support model would be helpful.
