Job summary

Jobgether SRL, on behalf of a partner in India, seeks a Senior AI Engineer in Forward Deployed Engineering to design, develop, and deploy advanced AI solutions that address complex customer challenges. This is a customer-facing role turning emerging generative AI research into production-ready applications.

You will work with customers to translate requirements into effective AI architectures, collaborating with product, engineering, and research teams to influence roadmaps and priorities.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on AI/data science experience with practical AI solutions.
• Experience building generative AI apps including RAG pipelines and multi-agent systems.
• Familiarity with AI frameworks such as Hugging Face, LangChain, DSPy.
• Proven track record deploying production-grade AI applications on cloud platforms.
• Strong communication and ability to distill complex tech for non-technical audiences.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. AI Engineer, AI FDE based in India.

We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer specializing in Forward Deployed Engineering to design, develop, and deploy advanced AI solutions that address complex customer challenges. In this customer-facing role, you will turn emerging generative AI research into reliable, production-ready applications with measurable business impact. You will work closely with customers to understand their needs, provide technical guidance, and deliver innovative AI systems across a range of industries. Collaborating with engineering, product, and research teams, you will help shape product direction and influence long-term technical priorities. The role offers opportunities to explore emerging developments in generative AI, large language models, machine learning, and LLM operations. You will also contribute to technical knowledge-sharing and represent the team at industry events and conferences.

Accountabilities

• Design and develop advanced generative AI solutions using techniques such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), multi-agent systems, Text-to-SQL, and model fine-tuning.
• Lead the deployment and production rollout of customer-facing and internal AI applications, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers, translating business challenges into effective AI architectures and implementation strategies.
• Evaluate, optimize, and improve production-grade AI applications through systematic testing, performance analysis, and continuous iteration.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, research, and developer relations teams to influence product priorities and contribute to the technical roadmap.
• Share technical expertise through customer engagements, conference presentations, and internal knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Support strategic projects and subject-matter experts by applying practical AI engineering expertise to complex business problems.
• Travel to customer locations approximately once every four to eight weeks, as business needs require.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on industry experience in data science, machine learning, and the development of practical AI solutions.
• Demonstrated experience building generative AI applications, including RAG pipelines, multi-agent systems, Text-to-SQL solutions, and fine-tuned models.
• Familiarity with AI development frameworks and tools such as Hugging Face, LangChain, and DSPy.
• Strong expertise in deploying production-grade generative AI applications, including evaluation methodologies, performance optimization, and operational reliability.
• Experience building and deploying machine learning solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficiency with common data science and machine learning tools, including pandas, scikit-learn, and PyTorch.
• A graduate degree in a quantitative field, such as computer science, engineering, statistics, or operations research, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain and teach complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A collaborative mindset, intellectual curiosity, and a commitment to continuous learning and delivering measurable business value through AI.
• Preferred: Experience with large-scale distributed data processing using Apache Spark and the Databricks Intelligence Platform.
• Willingness to travel periodically to meet customers and support project delivery.
