Job summary

Roche in India seeks a Squad Lead - Oncology to set and execute an Outcome Based Plan for the oncology portfolio in the cluster. The role requires visionary, architect and coaching capabilities to deliver the therapy area ambitions while leading diverse teams across the organisation.

You will drive collaboration with Disease Area Squad, Key Account Managers and the broader affiliate to ensure strategic alignment, compliance and patient-centric execution of initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience leading oncology/hematology teams and networks.
• Proven people leadership in functional or network teams.
• Customer experience in pharmaceutical healthcare, oncology hematology preferred.

Position

Squad Lead -Oncology

Location- Chennai

The Squad Lead is responsible for setting and executing the Outcome Based Plan. Oncology in India is a critical component of the India portfolio priorities today and in the future and our ambitions for positive patient outcomes are extensive.

The Squad Lead is the accountable person for delivering on our therapy area ambition(s) in the cluster and this role requires strong Visionary, Architect, Catalyst and Coaching capabilities.

Key responsibilities:

The Squads will focus on system shaping, partnership priorities and driving execution excellence which will in turn define what work needs to be delivered. Squad leads are empowered with, and E2E accountable for, creating and delivering value propositions to our customers, including defining work packages (incl. start end date, resource investment requirements), optimal working models (e.g. commissioning of work vs. execution within squad) for executing/overseeing work in alignment with Disease Area Strategy and close collaboration with Disease Area Squad and Key Account Managers under the supervision of Cluster Heads.

• Preferred oncology Hematology therapy area experience as well as a track record of effective people leadership in functional and/or network teams.
• Customer experience in pharmaceutical healthcare (ideally in oncology hematology)
• Providing inspirational leadership in setting the vision and strategic ambition for the cluster and assuming overall accountability for the delivery for this vision/ambition
• Creating an environment where diverse technical disciplines can align, develop and execute in order to pursue the cluster/affiliate/disease area North Star ambition
• Leadership coaching of PJPs, peers and more broadly as required, to ensure individuals and teams are developing and growing in line with their passion and the needs of the Organization
• Acting as a guardian for high standards of compliance, ethics and safety; putting patients at the Center of all actions by consistent business behavior that complies with applicable laws, industry codes and Roche s Code of Conduct.
• Responsible for co-creating and executing strategic partnerships to improve penetration of Roche innovation in corporate accounts and other important regional accounts
• Ensuring PJP s purpose/vision, goals, strategy, planning and execution (including investment) are aligned to both DA squad AND Cluster Priorities
• Partnering with the broader affiliate (including Disease Area Squad, Key Account Managers, Cluster Enabling functions etc.) to ensure appropriate strategic alignment and required customized modifications
• Fostering collaboration and expertise-sharing across the organization to remove silos and duplication, ensure efficient use of similar skill sets, and to ultimately support common pursuit of the North Star
