Job summary

Técnicas Reunidas seeks an Electrical Engineer with a degree and 3+ years in FEED and detail engineering to work on Power and Oil & Gas projects. You will review specs, data sheets, and bid evaluations for electrical equipment and materials, and produce single line diagrams.

You will apply international codes (IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA, API) and collaborate with other disciplines, delivering accurate sizing calculations, MTOs, and technical bid evaluations while upholding HSE standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering and minimum 3 years in FEED and Detail Engineering.
• Experience with electrical equipment and materials (transformers, switchgears, UPS, cables, lighting).
• Familiarity with international codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review single line and schematics diagrams using SPEL or SEL.
• Design main electrical equipment and materials; prepare specs and data sheets.
• Size electrical equipment & materials; prepare MTO/BOM and lighting calculations.
• Conduct Hazardous Area Classification and interconnection/wiring diagrams.
• Perform technical bid evaluations and interact with other disciplines.

Summary of the position

Professionals with Degree in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 3 years of relevant engineering experience in FEED and Detail Engineering

within Power and Oil and Gas Projects. Capable to review and develop technical specifications, data sheets and technical bid evaluation of electrical

equipment and materials (transformers, switchgears, UPS, EDG, cables, lighting & bulk). Strong skills in single line drawings and schematics.

Expertise in different electrical calculations and studies (load balance, short circuit, earthing and lightning, lighting) using corporate software and

procedures. Good knowledge of International Codes & Standards like IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA, NACE, ASME, ANSI, IP, API, ASTM, ISO, Shell DEP.

Key Objectives & Responsibilities of the role

• Prepare and review single line and schematics diagrams using SPEL or SEL application
• Responsible for the design of main electrical equipment and materials.
• Prepare and review technical specifications and data sheets
• Prepare electrical equipment and material sizing calculations.
• Prepare Hazardous Area Classification with Designer support (only 2D drawings), Panel schedules (Power and Lighting), Interconnection and Wiring Diagrams, Control Schematics
• Prepare MTO/BOM, Lighting Calculations, Cable Tray and Trench sizing Calculations
• Requisition for Inquiry and Purchase of Electrical Equipment’s (TRANSFORMERS, SWITCHGEARS, GENERATORS, BUS DUCTS, UPS, CAPACITORS, CATHODIC PROTECTION) and Bulk Materials(Cables, Trays, Lighting and Grounding materials)
• Technical Bid Evaluation of Offers for Electrical Equipment’s and Bulk Materials & TB Tabulation preparation
• Interact and collaborate with rest of technical disciplines involved
• Ability to deal with change and demostrate flexibility as required
• Demostrate awareness and commitment to health, safety and environmental issued
• Report engineering status and progress

Technical Skills

• 5 years hands on experience in SEPL and SEL software (SEL version 10)
• designing for electrical equipment and materials
• 3 year or more experience working in the electrical discipline in a engineering company
• Understanding of other disciplines
• Able to complete tasks in accordance with project requirements
• Able to discuss routine technical problems and communicate effectively with immediate supervisor and other project personnel Essential

• Excellent English language skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing
