Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, screen and prevent language, speech and swallowing disorders.
• Communicate with patients, families, physicians and teachers to plan treatment.
• Use established therapies plus innovative techniques to deliver care.
• Attend conferences, conduct research, and expand professional networks.
• Educate patients and families on speech disorders and therapies.
• Maintain detailed notes on patient history and progress.
• Provide mentoring and workshops to speech therapy students.
• Evaluate progress and adjust therapy programs as required.

Requirements

Speech Therapist Requirements:

• Bachelor's and Master's degrees inspeech therapy or speech-language pathology.
• Relevant license and cer ti fica ti on. (RCI)
• Experience with certain disorders and age groups maybe required.
• Sound understanding of speech-related disorders andtreatments.
• Familiarity with database management so ft ware.
