Job summary

Nordex Group is seeking a Specialist- Technical Support Admin-Drive Train support in Chennai, India. The role involves inspecting gearboxes, performing borescope inspections, and providing drivetrain technical support including lubrication guidance.

You will manage Service Now tickets and maintain documentation. Requires a mechanical engineering degree with 5+ years in wind turbine gearboxes, strong data and Excel skills, and the ability to work independently and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with wind turbine gearboxes.
• Proven experience in project coordination or similar role.
• Strong analytical and data manipulation skills in Excel.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and assess turbine condition including fault identification and diagnosis.
• Perform borescope inspections of gearboxes.
• Provide drivetrain technical support and lubrication guidance.
• Manage Service Now tickets and update documentation.
• Maintain Drive Train Support SharePoint resources and inspection reports.
• Monitor gearbox oil sampling and provide technical recommendations.
• Perform NC2 data monitoring and data collection.

YOUR TASKS

• Strong technical knowledge of gearbox and drivetrain components
• Hands-on experience performing borescope inspections of complex gearboxes
• Practical experience providing drivetrain technical support and Lubrication topics
• Basic understanding of condition monitoring systems
• Ability to inspect and assess turbine condition (fault identification and diagnosis)
• Physically capable and willing to climb wind turbines
• Manage and provide technical support for Service Now Tickets.
• Support the maintenance and continuous update of the Main Component Priority Watchlist
• Ability to work independently with a proactive approach
• Oversee and maintain Drive Train Support SharePoint resources, including Inspection report management, Regional documentation management.
• Gearbox Oil Sample Manage gearbox oil sampling and provide technical recommendations to wind farms
• Data Monitoring & Analysis Perform NC2 data monitoring and collection

YOUR PROFILE

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with wind turbine gearboxes
• Proven experience in project coordination or similar role
• Strong analytical and data manipulation skills in Excel
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Willingness to undergo a high-level pre-employment medical examination
• Advanced Microsoft office skills
• Understanding technical background
