Emirates NBD seeks a Senior Technology Engineer to drive the product engineering lifecycle for a standard infrastructure stack focusing on SAN/NAS/Object storage and data protection solutions. The role emphasizes hands-on Linux expertise, cloud and DevOps practices, and automation to support high availability and scalable deployments.

You will contribute to design, development, implementation, and capacity planning while coordinating with the Compute Technology Platform team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years total engineering or operational experience.
• 3+ years in a similar role.
• Experience in large, complex global enterprises with high availability and distribution.
• Good communication and articulation skills.

Client Expectation: is seeking an innovative and experienced Senior Technology Engineer to drive the continuous product engineering lifecycle of a defined set of technologies that will deliver a standard stack of consumable Infrastructure products within Emirates NBD. We are looking for strong technical profile who can be part of Storage & DataProtection engineering team with primary skills on SAN, NAS, Object & Dedupe Backup storages and Experience in DataProtection software like NetBackup, Networker & Commvault etc, Job Purpose: Group IT has a matrix management structure. The Technology Engineer role will have line management and reporting into the VP Technology Chapter but will be assigned to Compute Technology Platform for task management and prioritization. The engineer will be responsible for managing the deliveries of the squad which includes Design, Development, Implementation, Standardization, Automation and Capacity Planning. You will be expected to have a T-shaped technical profile to be able to switch between multiple disciplines based on the project requirement where your core strength comes from Linux operating system.

Experience:

• At least 10 years total engineering or operational experience
• At least 3 relevant years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience within large and complex global enterprises defined by high availability, transaction rates, and geographical distribution.
• Good communication and articulation skills

Knowledge & Skills: Technical/Functional:

• Excellent hands-on with Data protection solutions and Cyber recovery.
• Experience in infrastructure, systems administration, design, and engineering, with cloud computing and DevOps practices
• Experience on Container Technologies like Native Kubernetes/ OpenShift.
• Good Experience CICD Pipelines and Hand-on experience in integrations
• Good Troubleshooting skills and analysis for BAU and Incidents.
• Experience on IaC like Terraform
• Working experience on configuring Public Cloud Services on Microsoft Azure/ AWS/ OCI like Compute/Storage/Networking
