Vivantify Technology Solutions India Pvt. Ltd. Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Patch Engineer to own end-to-end patching across Exadata/ExaCC, OCI, RAC, and Grid Infrastructure.

You will plan maintenance windows, automate patches with Terraform and Ansible, and troubleshoot failures while ensuring security and availability. The role requires hands-on Oracle DB administration, Exadata/ExaCC expertise, and collaboration with IT teams across India and the US, with flexibility

• Conduct impact assessments, risk evaluations, backup/rollback planning, and post‑patch validation.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Patch Engineer with strong expertise in Exadata, ExaCC, Oracle Database, Oracle RAC, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The role focuses on planning, automating, executing, and troubleshooting database and engineered-system patching while maintaining security, stability, availability, and compliance.

Job Description

The role involves managing the end-to-end patching lifecycle across Exadata and ExaCC, including compute nodes, DomU VMs, Grid Infrastructure, and Oracle Databases. The engineer will plan maintenance windows, perform pre-maintenance preparation, execute quarterly and security maintenance releases, and develop appropriate rollback strategies.

The position requires hands-on experience with OCI patching, Oracle RAC, Grid Infrastructure, RDBMS, ASM, Data Guard, and OEM Fleet/Lifecycle Management. The engineer will use OCI Console, CLI, REST APIs, Terraform, and Ansible to automate and manage patching activities.

The candidate will also troubleshoot patch-related database failures and post-patch issues, perform root‑cause analysis, document procedures and standards, and support vulnerability remediation. Collaboration with IT teams and business stakeholders across India and the US, including flexibility for evening or weekend activities when required, is expected.
