The role emphasizes governance, documentation, and staying abreast of new visualization technologies to improve usability and performance across tools such as DOMO, Tableau, and Google Studio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• 4–7 years of experience with data visualization tools (DOMO, Sigma, Google Studio, Tableau, Smartsheet).
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to handle complexity and deliver simple solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support existing visualization tools and governance across the organization.
• Work with executives, developers, and data engineers to address visualization platform issues.
• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure data infrastructure alignment.
• Create and update architectural governance documentation for visualization tools.
• Educate users on standard methodologies and stay current with visualization trends.
• Prepare and maintain process and standards documentation.
• Evaluate and recommend new visualization tools or technologies.
• Respond to support tickets and resolve issues.
• Maintain and enhance visualization tools for usability and performance.

Brief introduction - Role Summary/Purpose:

We are inviting candidates to join us as a Data platform engineer to support building a data-driven culture within Colgate. Data visualization engineer will be responsible for supporting, monitoring and setting governance around all visualization tools.

• Supporting all the existing tools in the organization.
• Work with partners including the Executive, Developers, Data engineers to assist with Visualization platform related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs
• Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines, departments, and segments
• Create and update documentation for the purposes of architectural governance and support or the tools that are used
• Educate users on standard methodologies and Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data visualization.
• Prepare and maintain documentation of processes, standards.
• Recommend and participate in evaluation of new tools or technologies to improve current architecture or design
• Respond to support tickets and solve issues.
• Maintain and enhance existing visualization tools to improve usability and performance.

Required Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology.
• 4 to 7 years of experience with data visualization tools and methods - DOMO, Sigma, Google studio, Tableau, Smartsheet.
• Ability to communicate, cultivate collaboration with different functional teams.
• Ability to handle complexity to provide customers with simple solutions.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Technical platform knowledge and business process knowledge to optimally connect with team members.
• Experience with data warehousing technologies and methodologies.
• Experience with SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
