Specialist - SQA - Composites / Blade Materials

Responsibilities
- Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP4Wind) and Process Sign-Off (PPAP) for suppliers.
- Assess and develop supplier manufacturing processes for quality, capacity, and capability.
- Drive resolution of supplier-related quality issues from pre‑production through post‑launch.
- Serve as the technical authority for propulsion manufacturing processes.
- Conduct supplier readiness reviews and launch support, including run‑at‑rate and PPAP validation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement initiatives and quality alignment.
- Contribute to and participate in Material Review Boards.
- Contribute and participate in supplier performance reviews.
- Contribute to establishing and driving Supplier Quality improvement goals.
- Manage suppliers on an ongoing basis via regular contact, periodic audits, and other methods to guarantee consistent high‑quality performance.
- Provide technical support to the receiving inspection function.
- Support Operations, Engineering, Program Management and other functional groups by providing trend analysis and root‑cause analysis investigations, corrective action recommendations.
- Assist supplier with inspection validation during qualification phase, as required.
- Lead standardization projects/procedures between all functions in Nordex.
- Establish common rules for performing supplier assessments and standardization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent education/work experience) in Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Manufacturing and/or Supplier Quality Engineer/specialist in qualifying suppliers for blade materials, composites or related.
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO9001), Supplier Quality Management, inspection methodologies, and quality improvement tools.
- Solid knowledge and experience of driving APQP/APQP4Wind, FMEAs.
- Good understanding of Six Sigma & Lean methodology is preferred.
- SAP proficiency is a plus.
