Job summary

Société Générale Global Solution Centre in Bengaluru seeks a Senior Specialist Software Engineer with 10+ years of tooling development experience. You will own end-to-end technical design, development, deployment and post-release support for frontend (React.js) and backend (Python Django) systems, with emphasis on scalability and security.

Role requires strong skills in Shinken, Splunk, Grafana, Linux, and network/IT operations tooling, plus leadership in architectural decisions and Agile/CI-CD

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Strong Python (Django) backend and React.js frontend expertise.
• Experience with Linux environments and tooling ecosystems.
• Hands-on with monitoring/observability tools (Splunk, Shinken, Grafana).
• Version control proficiency (Git) and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical design, development, deployment and post-release support.
• Own architecture decisions and impact analysis for new features.
• Develop across frontend and backend with a focus on scalability and security.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into robust designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and design the dashboard on various tools such as Graphana, Splunk
• Extensive understanding of maintaining and hands on experience on Shinken. Upgrades, migration from GEN1 and GEN2.
• Advance level expertise on Tuffin.
• Shinken , Splunk,Tuffin and other tools incidents and issues resolutions
• Able to resolve issues related to tools in production
• Clear understanding of Agile workflow and CI/CD pipeline
• Clear understanding of ITSM processes especially change management
• Lead the design and impact analysis of all new features and product enhancements.
• Own and drive all aspects of the software development process from design to deployment.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.
• Perform peer code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and performance.
• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure requirements are translated into scalable and performant designs.
• Utilize strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve software issues.
• Ensure the application architecture supports scalability, performance, and security best practices.
• Serom management (Security Event and Response Orchestration Management),
• Lead the design and impact analysis of all new features and product enhancements.
• Own and drive all aspects of the software development process from design to deployment.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.
• Perform peer code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and performance.
• 10+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Advanced understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs) principles.
• Strong knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Proven experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Expertise in front-end development using React.js.
• Strong backend development experience using Python with Django framework.
• Experience with designing for scalability and high performance.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders.
