Job summary

Syngene International in Bengaluru is looking for a hands-on laboratory professional to support fermentation, cell culture, and data recording. You will perform basic protocol studies, prepare media and additives, and manage bioreactors, while maintaining ALCOA+ compliant documentation and generating regular reports.

You will coordinate with analytical and downstream teams, maintain equipment, analyze in-process samples, and present progress to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Performance of basic laboratory protocol studies, including basic calculations and data recording.
• Media/Feed/Additives preparation in both mammalian and microbial fermentation.
• Performing mammalian/microbial cell culture process development experiments in shake flasks, and bioreactors.
• Follow good documentation as per ALCOA+ principles, recording data contemporaneously, posting in the respective excel sheets and plotting graphs. Prepare report on the defined TAT.
• Handling 2L/10L/50L bioreactors and Ambr 250 bioreactors.
• Analysing in-process culture samples using Vi-Cell, BGA, Osmo, Cedex Nova, UV.
• Performance of general laboratory tasks like maintenance of equipment, calibration and PM.
• Review and interpretation of data received from analytical functions.
• To co-ordinate with analytical, downstream and other functions on planning of experiments and intimation of samples and tests to be performed.
• Prepare project update presentations for senior management reviews; prepare sections of select milestones reports.
• Maintain the laboratory with all necessary requirements and track the inventory to ensure minimum stock.
• Based on business requirement need to come during weekends, public holidays and in rotational shifts including night shifts. Also, to perform the activities as assigned by the manager based on business needs.
• Understand and interpret experimental data and results to support decisions and the definition of upstream production processes. Follow laboratory practices to comply with guidelines. Adhere to ALCOA+ and GDP practices.
