Job summary

UPL in Pune seeks a hands-on SAP Technical (ABAP) to join our SAP support and project team. The role covers supporting, enhancing, and maintaining SAP applications across FI, SD, MM, PP, QM, EWM, and PS, collaborating with functional and business teams.

The ideal candidate has strong ABAP fundamentals, AMS support experience, and the ability to resolve technical issues independently, including ABAP on HANA concepts and CDS/AMDP know-how.

Qualifications

• Hands-on SAP ABAP / ABAP OO development and support.
• Experience in Reports, ALV, Enhancements, Interfaces, BDC and Workflows.
• Familiar with SAP Data Dictionary, AMS support projects.
• Strong problem solving and communication abilities; independent in-house support.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance and support ABAP developments including reports, ALV, enhancements and interfaces.
• Provide L1-L3 technical support for production incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with SAP functional consultants across FI/SD/MM/PP/QM/EWM/PS.
• Support transports, testing, cutover, and post-go-live activities.

Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on SAP Technical (ABAP) to join our SAP support and project team. The role involves supporting, enhancing, and maintaining SAP applications while working closely with functional and business teams across multiple SAP modules including FI, SD, MM, PP, QM, EWM, and PS. The ideal candidate will have strong ABAP fundamentals, experience in support environments, and the ability to independently resolve technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

SAP ABAP Development & Support

• Design, develop, enhance, and support SAP ABAP developments including:
• Reports (Classical, Interactive, ALV)
• Enhancements (User Exits, Customer Exits, BAdIs)
• Interfaces (IDOC, BAPI, RFC, File-based)
• BDC programs (Session and Call Transaction methods)
• Workflows
• Forms (Smart Forms, SAP Scripts; Adobe Forms)
• Provide L1/ L2 / L3 technical support for production incidents
• Perform root cause analysis, debugging, and permanent fixes
• Experience in ABAP on HANA concepts
• Hands-on with CDS Views (basic to advanced)
• AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures) knowledge
• Code push-down techniques
• Performance optimization using HANA tools
• Build and consume OData services for SAP Fiori/UI5 applications
• Perform code reviews, performance tuning, and troubleshooting

Workflow & Process Automation

• Develop, configure, debug, and support SAP Workflow
• Enhance existing workflows and support approval/business process automation
• Coordinate with functional teams for workflow-based solutions

Functional Collaboration (FI / SD / MM / PP / QM / EWM / PS)

• Work closely with SAP functional consultants and business users across:
• Understand end-to-end business processes and data flows
• Translate functional requirements into efficient technical designs

Enhancements, Changes & Documentation

• Support enhancements, small projects, and change requests
• Follow SAP development standards and coding best practices
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation (FS inputs, TS, code documentation)
• Support transports, testing cycles, cutover, and postgo-live activities
• Assist in SAP upgrades, patches, and system maintenance
