e.l.f. Beauty is seeking a Revenue Staff Accountant to perform day-to-day general ledger activities, including month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial audits.

The role focuses on reconciling ecommerce sales, banking entries, and supporting system implementations; a CPA or GAAP knowledge is a plus, with strong Excel skills required.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical problem solving with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of GAAP; CPA is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software (e.g. SAP).

• Assist in ensuring effectiveness of control environment for eCommerce with GAAP, SOX, and Delegation of Authority requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies; identify and implement appropriate controls for new platforms and processes.
• Support system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements in eCommerce.
• Participate to ensure controllership standards and successful operational implementations.
• Post journal entries, monthly accruals and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Support month-end close procedures.
• Assist outside auditors with quarterly audits.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Revenue Staff Accountant will perform day-to-day general ledger related accounting activities including month end close, account reconciliations and financial audits.

Responsibilities

• Prepares bank reconciliations, gift card liability reconciliations, loyalty, and other related accounting entries.
• Reconcile monthly eCommerce sales.
• Assist in assuring effectiveness of control environment for eCommerce activities. Includes compliance with U.S. GAAP, SOX, and Delegation of Authority requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies (e.g. Financial, Procurement, etc.) Identify and implement appropriate controls for new platforms and processes in support if eCommerce growth and initiatives.
• Support system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements in eCommerce.
• Participate as a key team member to ensure compliance with controllership standards and successful operational implementations.
• Post journal entries, monthly accruals and reconcile general ledger accounts as needed.
• Supporting team on month-end close procedures.
• Provides outside auditors with assistance, gathers necessary account information and documents to for quarterly audits.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field, required.
• 5+ years in experience in accounting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical problem-solving aptitude, ability to organize work with large amounts of information efficiently, with strong attention to detail.
• Enjoys working in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. CPA is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software. (i.e. advanced excel skills and SAP
