Job summary

Bajaj Auto is seeking an experienced designer to support the entire design lifecycle of two-wheeler exterior/plastics/trims. The role emphasizes CAD/PLM proficiency and deep knowledge of body parts, exterior panels, and materials used in plastic design.

The candidate should have 7–15 years of relevant experience, strong multitasking ability for testing coordination, benchmarking, and an understanding of GD&T and DFMEA. A diploma in mechanical engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with good academic record.
• 7–15 years of experience in design for two-wheeler exterior/plastics.
• Strong CAD and PLM tool proficiency.
• Awareness of GD&T and DFMEA would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Role: Support entire design lifecycle of two wheeler exterior/plastics/Trims.
• Sound knowledge of Body Parts/Exterior/Panels and trim design.
• Proficient in CAD UG-NX/CATIA, Teamcenter or equivalent PLM software.
• Ability to multitask: Testing coordination & Benchmarking.
• Knowledge on materials and manufacturing processes used in Plastic design.
• Application of GD&T, DFMEA, DFM etc.
• Proficient in Plastic/Trim Part design of various parts such as fenders, fairing assembly, seats, side panels.
• Good understanding of new technologies in vehicle interior design.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle layout design, ergonomics and homologation requirements.

Job Role & Responsibilities

Role:

Support entire design lifecycle of two wheeler exterior/plastics/Trims which includes the following stages

• Sound knowledge of Body Parts/Exterior/Panels and trim design.
• Proficient in CAD UG-NX/CATIA ,Team center or equivalent PLM software
• Ability to do multitasking: Testing co-ordination & Benchmarking.
• Knowledge on different types of materials, manufacturing processes used in Plastic design
• Application of GD&T, DFMEA, DFM etc

Technical/ Functional:

• Proficient in Plastic/Trim Part design of various parts such as fenders, fairing assembly, seats, side panels etc.
• Good understanding & awareness of new technologies in vehicle interior design
• Basic knowledge of vehicle layout design, ergonomics and homologation requirements
