Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Subject Matter Expert in Peptide to contribute to crucial engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have 15-25 years of experience in Design Engineering, particularly within Lifesciences Projects. Responsibilities include preparing Process Flow Diagrams and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Applicants should have strong technical skills and experience in handling Peptide projects. Knowledge of equipment selection for peptide synthesis is essential.

Qualifications

• 15-25 years experience in Design Engineering.
• Experience in design consulting organization, preferably in Lifesciences Projects.
• Experience with Major Peptide projects and process engineering calculations.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out basic and detailed engineering work on Peptide projects.
• Preparing PFDs and P&IDs.
• Conducting vendor document reviews and ensuring safety in design.

Your impact

As a Subject Matter Expert in Peptide, the candidate should possess the following as a minimum:

• Strong technical skills in carrying out basic and detailed engineering work. The candidate should be experienced in handling Peptide projects.
• Should be able to prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Should have strong knowledge on layout designing of Peptide plants.
• Should be able to independently carry out Capacity Mapping of Peptide Plants.
• The candidate should possess sound knowledge on equipment selection criteria for Solid Phase Peptide Synthesizer, Lyophilizer, PREP HPLC, DAC Column, Rotary evaporator, etc.
• Should have knowledge on latest ISPE Guidelines.
• Should be aware of regulatory requirements of USFDA, MHRA, WHO, TGA, etc.

Skills And Competencies Required

• BE Chemical with 15‑25 years experience in Design Engineering.
• Must have experience in design consulting organization either working currently or in the past in Lifesciences Projects.
• Experience in Major Peptide projects:
  • Performing all process engineering calculations like heat & mass balance, utility sizing (clean & black), thermal rating of heat exchangers and hydraulics, line sizing, pump hydraulics.
  • Vendor Document Review.
  • Reviewing all aspects of design and construction for consistency and safety, including leading HAZOP and PHA reviews.
  • Possess thorough knowledge on containment techniques and be able to perform containment studies.
  • Provide guidance in GMP reviews.
