Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Process Architect – Architectural (CSA) in Chennai, India to lead project planning for pharmaceutical and life sciences facilities. The role focuses on client interactions, concept layouts, site master planning and presenting options to secure client buy-in.

Strong knowledge of NBC codes and regulatory bodies is required. You will work with Revit, SketchUp, InDesign and Adobe Suite to develop designs while ensuring compliance with local authorities and internal policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
  • Licensed Architect (AIA) with relevant registrations.
  • Experience with building codes and specifications.
  • Knowledge of SketchUp, Adobe Suite, InDesign and Revit.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with clients to understand their needs and requirements.
  • Create concept layout options and site master planning; prepare presentations.
  • Obtain client buy-in on proposed options for proceeding.
  • Ensure adherence to the Company and Group policies and regulatory requirements.

Your impact

The Process Architect – Architectural (CSA) is generally assigned to a project as a someone with specialist skills acquired on the job or through formal qualifications in the field of Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences facilities and site master planning. He/she is responsible for client interactions to understand their needs and requirements, creating concept layout options, site master planning, presentations and getting an "buy in" from clients on an option to proceed further. He/she is also responsible for ensuring that the Company and Group’s technical policies are followed, considering any special contractual requirements.

Technical and Development
  • Degree in Architecture from a institute whose B. Arch is recognised by the Council of Architecture.
  • Have In-depth knowledge in Layout development and general process requirements of pharmaceutical / Life Science Pharmaceutical production facilities including but not limited to for API, Sterile Products, OSD, Bio-Pharma, Gene Therapy products, related R&D labs etc.
  • Ability and the initiative learn new types of facilities as required by clients requirements.
  • Detailed knowledge in requirements of NBC and major statutory and regulatory bodies such as states, local bodies, and Industrial area bodies such as MIDC, KSIIC, HSIIDC etc.
Here’s what you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited Architectural program
  • At least 16 years of experience
  • Licensed Architect (AIA)
  • Experience with building codes and specifications
  • Experience with Sketch up, Adobe Suite, InDesign and Revit
