Job summary

Ionic Wealth is seeking a PR and Brand Communications leader to shape how the firm is perceived in Indian wealth management, with a focus on media relations, narrative development, and executive visibility. This is a builder role designed to expand into broader communications ownership for a high-growth firm.

You will work across Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Delhi accounts, elevating the company’s voice with journalists, partners, and leaders, and ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.

Qualifications

• 6-9 years in PR and corporate communications, ideally spanning both agency and in-house.
• Experience in BFSI/fintech or wealth management is preferred; familiarity with India media landscape.

Responsibilities

• Build and own relationships with journalists across business and wealth beats.
• Develop the company narrative, key messages, and POV pipeline for coverage.
• Create executive visibility programs for founders and leaders, including bylines and speaking slots.
• Lead PR for product launches and campaigns, coordinating with brand and content teams.

About the Role

You will own how Ionic shows up in the press, in industry conversations, and in the minds of India's wealthiest families. This is a builder role: you'll create our media relations engine from the ground up, shape our executive and brand narrative, and make sure Ionic is in every story that matters in Indian wealth management.

The role starts with PR and brand communications, but is designed to grow into broader communication ownership for someone who delivers.

What You'll Do

• Media relations: Build and own relationships with journalists across business, personal finance, and wealth beats. Ensure Ionic is a default voice in wealth management coverage.
• Narrative and positioning: Develop the company narrative, key message house, and POV pipeline. Translate business milestones (AUM, product launches, hires) into stories the press wants to tell.
• Executive visibility: Build thought leadership programs for founders and senior leaders, including bylines, speaking slots, podcasts, and industry forums.
• Launch communications: Lead PR for product and campaign launches, working closely with brand, content, and performance teams to land integrated moments.
• Agency management: Brief, manage, and hold PR agency partners accountable to outcomes, not activity reports.
• Crisis and reputation: Build response protocols and act as first line on sensitive or reactive media situations, in coordination with compliance and legal.
• Awards and rankings: Own submissions for industry awards, league tables, and credibility markers that matter to HNI clients.
• Measurement: Track share of voice, message pull-through, and coverage quality. Report what's working and what isn't.

• Client events and engagement: Own the strategy and calendar for HNI and UHNI client experiences across Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Delhi.
• Brand Campaign, website and app communication: Own the voice and messaging across our digital surfaces.

What We're Looking For

• 6-9 years in PR and corporate communications, ideally spanning both agency and in-house
• BFSI, fintech, or wealth/asset management experience strongly preferred; you understand SEBI-regulated communication constraints
• Existing relationships with business and personal finance journalists in India
• Sharp writer who can turn complex financial products into clear, credible stories
• Comfortable working with founders and senior stakeholders; high judgment on what to say and when
• Bias for ownership: you'll have agency support, but the narrative is yours

Nice to Have

• Experience positioning premium or luxury brands for affluent audiences
• Familiarity with founder-led content and LinkedIn-first thought leadership
• Exposure to crisis comms in regulated industries
