Job summary

Nordex Group in Chennai seeks an experienced SAP data master to manage material master data and lifecycle processes across ECC and S/4Hana. You will optimize data quality and coordinate with supply chain, logistics, production, and procurement teams across sites.

The role requires 6–8 years of SAP experience with MM/SD or STP/STC knowledge, strong stakeholder communication, and multitasking ability. Wind energy background is a plus; Chennai-based role with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of SAP data master experience and domain knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of SAP MM, SD and/or S/4HANA modules.
• Experience with material master data and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Create and enrich materials master data and ensure data quality.
• Manage obsolete and vintage parts in SAP ECC/S4HANA and track lifecycle status.
• Conduct inventory control and storage-location data maintenance.
• Roll out new storage locations for windfarms and maintain data.
• Monitor capacity and optimize space across locations.
• Share up-to-date vintage part data with service, engineering, procurement and aftersales.
• Coordinate master data related IT service requests and incidents.
• Collaborate with supply chain, logistics, sales, production, customs, accounting on data issues.

Your Tasks

• Creating and enriching materials master data and ensuring master data quality according to the rules and governance of the company
• Managing obsolete and vintage parts in SAP ECC and S/4 Hana as well including tracking availability and lifecycle status of parts
• Inventory Control
• Roll out of new storage locations for new windfarms and maintenance of storage location data for existing storage locations
• Capacity Management: Monitoring storage utilization across locations, identifying areas nearing capacity, and optimizing space allocation
• Data sharing: Up-to-date information on vintage parts and obsolescence to service technicians, engineering, procurement and after sales
• Coordinating master data related IT Service Requests and Incident tickets
• Collaborating with the relevant specialist departments on master data related issues and relevant changes (e.g. supply chain, logistics, sales, production, customs, accounting)

YOUR PROFILE

• Minimum 6-8 yrs experience in SAP as key user Data Analysis
• Very good knowledge of SAP (ECC: MM, SD and/or S/4 Hana: STP, OTC, STC), especially in material master data
• Wind industry or Renewable is added advantage
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectivelyand should be Strong multitasking skills
• Good stakeholder management, excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
