Job summary

Flex is seeking a Specialist - General Ledger based in Chennai to support its finance team. The role focuses on analyzing GL accounts, preparing entries, reconciling sub-modules with trial balance and intercompany variances, and generating reports for management commentary.

The successful candidate will handle balance sheet schedules, assist audits and statutory filings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to close the GL module in ERP.

Qualifications

• Good written/oral communication in English.
• Good analytical skills and should be a team player.
• Exposure to presentations to management is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Analyze various nature of accounts in the GL Module
• Review and prepare various entries in GL Module (Amortizations, Accruals, Allocations etc.)
• Review Reconciliation of Sub-module vs Trial balance
• Review, Reconcile and Resolve Intercompany Variances
• Extract Reports from the Reporting tool to perform reporting commentary/analysis
• Prepare schedules to Balance Sheet as per GAAP Requirements
• Support various audits in providing transaction analysis, reconciliation for timely completion
• Support Corporate Accounting & Tax team for timely completion of statutory filings
• Collaborate with various internal teams to follow-up and close GL Module in ERP
• Willingness to work in complex environment with strict deadlines on projects
• Exposure to various financials automation/data projects will be an edge over others

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• M Com / MBA(Finance) / CMA (Intermediate) / ACA (Intermediate)
• Deeper understanding of various Accounting Standards (US/IFRS/Ind AS)
• Basic understanding of various audits/taxes applicable
• Good written/oral communication skills in English
• Exposure to preparation of presentations to management
• Good analytical skills and should be a team player
• Flexible to work in shifts
