Job summary

Apex Group is seeking a skilled Finance Reporting professional to prepare financial statements for Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds, Real Estate Entities, and other investment structures. The role involves preparing statements under IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP, Lux GAAP, and Canadian GAAP, and coordinating with onshore teams, clients, auditors, and senior stakeholders to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Ideal candidates hold CA/CPA/ACCA, MBA (Finance), CFA, or related qualifications, with 7+ years in

• 7+ years of experience in Financial Reporting.
• Exposure to Hedge Fund Financial Reporting is advantageous.
• IFRS and/or US GAAP experience preferred.
• Hands-on preparation of financial statements without heavy automation.

Responsibilities

• Receive, validate, and analyze financial data for financial statements.
• Prepare financial statements for Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds, Real Estate Entities, and ManCo structures.
• Prepare and review statements under IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP, Lux GAAP, and Canadian GAAP.
• Resolve accounting queries with onshore teams, clients, auditors, and directors.
• Maintain high-quality deliverables under tight deadlines.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Receive, validate, and analyze financial data required for the preparation of financial statements.
• Prepare financial statements for various investment structures, including:
• Hedge Funds
• Private Equity Funds
• Real Estate Entities
• Management Companies (ManCo)
• Other investment structures
• Prepare and review financial statements under multiple accounting frameworks, including:
• IFRS
• US GAAP
• UK GAAP
• Luxembourg GAAP
• Canadian GAAP
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and reporting requirements.
• Independently resolve accounting and reporting queries raised by:
• Onshore Teams
• Clients
• Auditors
• Directors and Senior Stakeholders
• Maintain high-quality deliverables while adhering to strict reporting deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualifications

• CA / CPA / ACCA
• MBA (Finance)
• CFA
• Any specialized qualification or certification in Accounting or Finance

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in Financial Reporting.
• Prior experience in Hedge Fund Financial Reporting will be an added advantage.
• Exposure to IFRS and/or US GAAP financial reporting is preferred.
• Hands-on experience in manual financial statement preparation is preferred over reliance on automated reporting tools.

Skills Required

• Strong technical accounting knowledge with a solid understanding of financial statements.
• Good knowledge of capital markets and derivative instruments.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines.
• Adaptability to a dynamic work environment and changing business requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Finance professional with a strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting standards.

• Prior experience in hedge funds, private equity, fund administration, or investment management industry preferred.
