BNY in Pune seeks a Specialist, Financial Planning & Analysis Representative to join our Finance team. You will partner with the CFO, Treasury, Regulatory Reporting, Risk, Data and Technology stakeholders to translate objectives into clearly defined requirements and support elicitation and documentation.

You will analyze financial data using SQL, document data requirements, ensure traceability from requirements to testing, and contribute to UAT and release readiness in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Technology, Data or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of Business Analyst experience in banking/financial services or complex financial environments.
• Experience supporting Finance, Treasury, Regulatory Reporting, Risk or Data functions.
• Proficiency in requirements elicitation, process analysis, gap analysis, and traceability.
• Hands-on SQL capability and data profiling, mapping, lineage, reconciliation.

We're seeking a future team member for the role of Specialist, Financial Planning & Analysis Representative to join our Finance team. This role is located in Pune.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

• Partner with CFO, Treasury, Regulatory Reporting, Risk, Data and Technology stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into clearly defined requirements.
• Support requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation across Finance and Treasury initiatives.
• Translate business and regulatory requirements into epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional and data requirements, with guidance where needed.
• Perform impact analysis across business processes, data flows, systems, and downstream regulatory and management reporting.
• Analyse financial data using SQL and other analytical tools to support requirements definition, investigation and validation.
• Document and validate data requirements, including data elements, business rules, transformations, mappings, lineage and reconciliation requirements.
• Identify data-quality issues and collaborate with business and technology teams on root-cause analysis and sustainable remediation.
• Support solution design by helping confirm that proposed technology and data solutions meet business and control objectives.
• Develop test scenarios and acceptance criteria, and support business validation and user acceptance testing (UAT) through implementation.
• Maintain traceability from business requirements through solution delivery and testing.
• Identify dependencies, risks, assumptions and issues, and escal or work with the appropriate stakeholders to support resolution.
• Communicate business and data concepts clearly to business stakeholders and technical teams.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

• A bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Technology, Data or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst within banking, financial services or another complex financial environment.
• Experience supporting change across Finance, Treasury, Regulatory Reporting, Risk or Data functions.
• Practical capability in requirements elicitation, process analysis, functional decomposition, impact assessment, gap analysis, business rules, process mapping and requirements traceability.
• Hands-on SQL capability is strongly preferred, together with experience in data profiling, mapping, lineage, reconciliation and data-quality analysis.
• Demonstrated experience working within Agile delivery models, including epics, features and user stories, acceptance criteria, backlog refinement and prioritisation, sprint planning, sprint reviews and demonstrations, and user acceptance testing and release readiness.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to structure and analyse business problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at different levels.
• Strong stakeholder-management skills and the confidence to ask questions and challenge assumptions constructively.
• The ability to work effectively across business, data and technology teams.
• A high degree of ownership, attention to detail and focus on delivery outcomes.
• The ability to manage priorities and dependencies within an Agile delivery environment.
