Job summary

Merck Group in Bengaluru is seeking a Specialist Operational Product Manager to support Franchise Product Managers and Project Managers in product lifecycle tasks, collaborating with cross-functional teams using Discovery Solutions tools.

You will help with lifecycle management, data cleansing and master data accuracy, prepare dashboards for PMO, and ensure SLA/TAT adherence while driving process improvements and ISO activities.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in Life Sciences or equivalent.
• Strong data analytics and internet/e-mail proficiency.
• Experience with Office 365 tools (Excel/Teams/Outlook/SharePoint).
• Ability to set up complex database queries and data analysis tools.
• Good communication, organizational and decision-making skills.
• Experience in business operations and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Supports Product Life Cycle Management as per business requirements.
• Review master data completeness and accuracy.
• Assist data cleansing, enrichment, and data consistency checks.
• Review PIM data compilation and troubleshoot Web PDP data.

Your Role

Specialist as Operational Product Managers supports Franchise Product Managers and Project Managers in execution of tasks related to Product Lifecycle management by collaborating with Cross-functional teams using various systems for Discovery Solutions Business.

• Supports Product Life Cycle Management as per the business requirements.


• Review product setup completeness, Master data completeness and correctness.


• Support master data management including data review, data cleansing, data enrichment and data consistency checks.


• Review PIM data compilation and data cleansing. Trouble shoot Web PDP data.


• Support Portfolio initiatives like Back-order clearance, Global extension and Lost source trouble shooting


• Project Management Support – supporting the PMO (creating dashboards, collecting all needed data, setting up meetings, sending reminder, etc).


• Meeting the SLA and TAT as per the agreed guidelines with the Stakeholders.


• Accountable for meeting and maintaining defined standards for quality and productivity.


• Ensure that internal customer's requirements are met on timely basis.


• Demonstrate good process knowledge within the process on all the activities.


• Support the team with Efficiency gains through various Process improvement projects.


• Assist Manager and Team with ISO and other additional activities.


• This position has no supervisory responsibility nor require any Business Travel.

Education

Postgraduate in Life Sciences from a reputed University.

Experience

5-7 Years in Scientific Industry

• Scientific Knowledge – In Depth Proficiency and functional command expected over Life science subject.


• Understanding of roles and responsibilities of Business Operations.


• In depth Proficiency with internet and e-mail.


• Very Good skills in Office 365 tools (Excel, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint) and ability to set up complex database queries.


• Good skills in Data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Python, Palantir) and ability to analyze business reports.


• Good oral and written communication skills.


• Good organizational skills.


• Good decision-making skills.


• Proficient in Problem solving, Planning & execution.


• Good understanding of management of interfaces and process understanding is required.


• High ability for self-management


• Ability to bring up self-driven solutions.
