Job Description

Assessment & IEP Development

Assess students' cognitive, academic, and functional skills using standardized tools and observations.

Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs, strengths, and goals.

Instructional Delivery

Use specialized teaching methods and adaptive materials to deliver curriculum content effectively.

Modify lessons and assignments to suit varied learning styles and ability levels.

Classroom Management

Create a supportive and structured classroom environment that encourages participation and independence.

Manage behavioral challenges using positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies.

Monitoring & Documentation

Track student progress against IEP goals and adjust strategies accordingly.

Maintain detailed records of student performance, progress reports, and communication logs.

Family & Caregiver Engagement

Collaborate with parents and caregivers to reinforce learning at home.

Conduct regular meetings to review progress, address concerns, and provide guidance.

Work with therapists (speech, occupational, physio), counselors, and general teachers to provide holistic support.

Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and school planning processes.

Training & Advocacy

Conduct sensitization and awareness sessions for teachers and peers on inclusive practices.

Requirements
