Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled and empathetic Special Educator to work one-on-one with a child in the above location. The focus of this role will be on developing functional academics, communication skills and supporting daily living activities (ADLs). This is a freelance, contract-based role with flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver personalized special education sessions in the child’s home environment
• Focus on building functional communication, basic literacy, and language through structured activities
• Support the child’s independence in ADLs (e.g., dressing, eating, basic routines)
• Conduct informal assessments to set measurable goals and track progress
• Develop engaging, age-appropriate learning tools and methods
• Maintain clear session records and update the Carely team regularly
• Collaborate with parents and other therapists to ensure holistic support

Qualifications

• Diploma, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education (RCI-registered preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with children with developmental disabilities
• Strong understanding of communication strategies and life skills training
• Ability to work independently in a home-based setting

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates may be invited to conduct a demo session at the child’s home. This will be a paid session, with compensation discussed in advance to cover travel and time.

Session frequency and schedule will be discussed at the time of assignment. All sessions will be coordinated through Carely. This is a freelance/contract role with no fixed monthly hours.
