Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru for a Special Education Specialist. Responsibilities include developing and implementing individualized education and intervention plans tailored to children’s unique needs, employing evidence-based practices such as Applied Behavior Analysis, and fostering learning and developmental progress. The role involves close collaboration with families and other professionals to ensure a holistic and supportive approach to child development.

Key Responsibilities
Assessment & Intervention
  • Conduct developmental, educational, and functional assessments to identify each child's strengths and support needs.
  • Develop, implement, and review Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) based on assessment findings.
  • Deliver individualized and small-group intervention sessions focused on: Academic readiness and learning skills, Attention and executive functioning, Social communication and interaction, Cognitive and adaptive skills, School readiness.
Therapy & Behavior Support
  • Use evidence-based teaching methods, structured learning approaches, and activity-based interventions.
  • Implement behavior management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques.
  • Conduct structured group therapy sessions with pre-planned goals and activities.
  • Modify intervention plans based on ongoing progress and multidisciplinary feedback.
Collaboration & Parent Guidance
  • Work closely with psychologists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and behavioral therapists.
  • Provide parent training and home-program recommendations to support skill generalization.
  • Coordinate with schools, teachers, and external professionals to facilitate effective educational support and smooth transitions.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate session notes, progress reports, and assessment records.
  • Monitor outcomes and communicate progress effectively with families and the multidisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in: Special EducationEducation: Rehabilitation Science, Psychology with Special Education specialization or a related fieldCertification, licensure, or recognized training in Special Education is highly preferred.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 1–3 years of hands‑on experience working with children with: Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD),ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Developmental Delays,Behavioral and Social Communication Challenges, Experience in a child development center, therapy center, special school, inclusive school, or rehabilitation setting is preferred. Ability to develop individualized intervention plans and implement structured teaching strategies.
