Job summary

Floorspace in Bengaluru is seeking an Interior Designer to take end-to-end ownership of modular furniture design projects and present concepts to clients.

The role requires strong AutoCAD and Space Designer skills, plus 3D visualization with SketchUp and Photoshop, and the ability to coordinate with clients, architects and suppliers to see designs through.

Experience 1–4 years and a degree in Interior Design or Architecture are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with modular furniture design and factory installation methods.
• Strong technical knowledge of hardware components (e.g., hettich/ Häfele).
• Expert-level design skills using AutoCAD and Space Designer software.
• Proficient in 3D visualization using SketchUp, Photoshop and related tools.
• Excellent presentation and client communication skills.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end interior design preparation and client presentations based on modular concepts.
• Prepare good-for-execution drawings using Space Designer software.
• Prepare Bill of Quantities.
• Present proposals to clients and articulate design inputs.
• Coordinate with clients, architects and team for execution.
• Manage design centres and clients independently.

• 1. End to End responsibility of Interior Design preparation and presentation to clients based on Modular furniture design concepts
• 2. Prepare 'Good-for-execution' drawings using space designer software
• 3. Prepare Bill of Quantities
• 4. Prepare client presentations and articulate design inputs
• 5. Present proposals
• 6. Coordinate with clients/architects/other personnel for execution of the designs
• 7. Ability to manage design centres and clients independently

Key Skills:

• 1. Atleast 1 year experience working in the modular furniture design area and thorough understanding of factory working and installation methods
• 2. Excellent technical knowledge and experience with hardware components from hettich/hafelle
• 1. Expert Designing skills in AutoCAD and preferably a leading Space Designer software
• 2. Computer presentation skills.
• 3. Knowledge of 3D, Google Sketchup, Photoshop.
