Job Overview
NIIT is looking for an experienced Senior Sourcing Specialist to support a global client project. The role will be responsible for end-to-end sourcing, supplier management, commercial negotiations, cost optimization, and training administration across international markets.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in global sourcing/procurement, vendor management, commercial negotiations, stakeholder management, and supplier performance management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end sourcing and procurement activities for global customer training requirements.
- Identify and onboard suitable training suppliers across Europe, USA, APAC, and other international markets.
- Manage sourcing for Face-to-Face, Virtual, and E-learning training requirements.
- Conduct supplier research, benchmarking, market analysis, and category analysis.
- Manage RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, commercial terms, and service agreements with suppliers.
- Drive cost savings, supplier rationalization, and commercial optimization.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities, pricing, quality, and service delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers and training partners.
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct periodic governance/review meetings.
- Coordinate with Finance, Legal, Vendor Management, and other internal teams for POs, contracts, and commercial documentation.
- Manage training administration through Learning Management Systems (LMS) within defined SLAs.
- Coordinate training logistics including venue, training room, learner enrollment, trainer coordination, and roster management.
- Manage post‑training activities including attendance, learner feedback, and LMS updates.
- Maintain sourcing documentation, bid summaries, customer requests, and supplier records.
- Manage multiple customer requests while ensuring timely delivery, quality, cost, and SLA adherence.
- Work effectively across different time zones, geographies, and languages.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of overall experience, with at least 4 years in Sourcing, Procurement, Purchasing, Commercial Management, or Service/Commodity Sourcing.
- Strong experience in international/global sourcing and supplier management.
- Hands‑on experience in commercial negotiations, vendor management, and cost optimization.
- Experience in supplier evaluation, benchmarking, quality assessment, and performance management.
- Experience managing RFI/RFP/RFQ processes.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple work queues and deliver within defined SLAs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Comfortable working with global stakeholders across different time zones.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office and MS Excel.
- Experience with CRM, LMS, sourcing, procurement, or vendor management platforms is preferred.
- Experience working with Learning & Development / Corporate Training suppliers will be an added advantage.
Educational Qualification
- Graduate / Post Graduate in any relevant discipline.
- MBA / B.Tech preferred.
Important Requirement
- Candidate must be comfortable working from the Gurugram office.
- Candidate must be comfortable with an 18-month surety agreement bond as part of the employment terms.
