Job summary

Genpact in Bangalore (Work from Office) is seeking a sourcing professional to identify suppliers, evaluate capabilities, and negotiate contracts for optimal procurement outcomes.

You will collaborate with internal teams, monitor supplier performance, and stay abreast of market trends to enhance sourcing strategies and ensure timely procurement solutions.

Qualifications

• Academic qualification: Degree in Science/Commerce/Engineering.
• Solid English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Understanding of planning-procurement in manufacturing and direct materials procurement.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP or SAP (Production Planning or MM) as end user.
• Proficiency with MS-Office applications.
• Demonstrated procurement experience.

In this role, you will be responsible to demonstrate innovation and intuition in identifying areas requiring operational adaptation and/or improvement Active user of Internet and online applications.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors through research, networking, and market analysis to meet organizational procurement needs.
• Assess supplier capabilities, quality standards, reliability, and pricing models to ensure alignment with company objectives.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure favorable agreements and maximize cost efficiency.
• Monitor supplier performance, proactively resolving discrepancies, risks, or service issues to maintain consistent delivery.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand sourcing requirements and ensure timely procurement solutions.
• Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and best practices to enhance sourcing strategies and procurement effectiveness.
• Maintain comprehensive records and reports on supplier evaluations, contracts, and procurement activities to support decision-making and compliance.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum qualifications

• Academic qualification : Degree in Science/Commerce/Engineering.
• Must have sound knowledge of English, Good written communication skills.
• Basic understanding of planning-procurement/purchasing process in manufacturing industry. Experience on handling planning and procurement of direct materials.
• Should have practical knowledge of Oracle ERP /SAP modules (Production planning or Material Management module as end user).
• Should have basic knowledge of MS-Office.
• Should have proven experience

Preferred qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer service role chat/email/voice
• Effective probing skills and analyzing / understanding skills
• Problem solving skills with customer centric approach Demonstrated proficiency with written English and with neutral English accent
• Must be able to work on a flexible schedule (including weekend shift)
