Qualifications

• Good understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication).
• Knowledge of supply chain challenges in electronics.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational and tactical sourcing activities for electronic and mechanical components.
• Ensure timely material availability aligned with production schedules.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers.
• Execute RFQs, cost comparisons, and vendor negotiations.
• Monitor and mitigate supply risks.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Deputy Manager – Sourcing to drive operational and tactical sourcing activities across electronics and precision mechanical components.

This role will play a key part in ensuring cost-effective, reliable, and timely procurement in a high-reliability, defence-grade manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Electronic components (active/passive, PCB/PCBA)
• Connectors, wiring harness & interconnect systems
• CNC machined components
• Sheet metal parts & fabricated assemblies
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers (electronics + mechanical)
• Execute RFQs, cost comparisons, and vendor negotiations
• Ensure timely material availability aligned with production schedules
• Coordinate with: Engineering (BOM clarity, alternate sourcing); Quality (supplier approvals, compliance); Planning & Manufacturing (material readiness)
• Monitor and mitigate supply risks:
• Lead time issues
• Vendor capacity constraints
• Maintain procurement documentation, traceability, and compliance standards
