Job summary

Suntory Global Spirits seeks an experienced procurement leader to own the India-wide sourcing strategy for Grain Neutral Alcohol (GNA/GNS). You will manage category strategy, supplier development, and long-term plans while ensuring supply security and cost optimization.

Role requires deep knowledge of GNA/GNS and experience in alcoholic beverages or related industries. Strong negotiation, SAP ERP skills, and strategic thinking are essential for building resilient supply networks across India.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in SCM, Operations, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
• Certifications in Procurement or SCM are advantageous.
• Minimum 10+ years in procurement and category management with GNA/GNS/ENA experience.
• Experience in Alcoholic Beverages or commodity-intensive industries preferred.

Mission of Role : The primary objective of this role is to develop and execute the India-wide sourcing strategy for Grain Neutral Alcohol (GNA/GNS), ensuring uninterrupted supply to all bottling facilities at the optimum total cost while maintaining defined inventory levels. The role is responsible for category management, supplier development, commercial excellence, quality, compliance, sustainability, and continuous cost optimization. As the category leader, the incumbent will build long-term sourcing strategies by leveraging market intelligence, commodity insights, government policies, and supplier partnerships.

Role Responsibilities

Category Strategy & Leadership

• Develop and implement the India-wide sourcing strategy for Grain Neutral Spirits (GNS).
• Lead the category management agenda, including supplier development, market intelligence, and long-term sourcing plans.
• Build a resilient sourcing network to ensure business continuity and supply security.
• Identify and evaluate new sourcing opportunities across India to optimize supply and cost.i>
• Drive sustainability, supplier capability enhancement, and risk mitigation initiatives within the category.
• Supply Network Optimization - Map GNA-producing states with consuming bottling plants to optimize logistics costs, supply reliability, and lead times.
• Develop sourcing models that maximize operational efficiency while minimizing total landed cost.
• Evaluate alternate supply sources based on commercial, quality, and logistical considerations.

Qualification

Qualifications & Experience

• Postgraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications in Procurement or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 10+ years of procurement and category management experience with significant expertise in Grain Neutral Alcohol (GNA/GNS), Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA), or commodity sourcing.
• Strong experience in the Alcoholic Beverages industry is preferred. Relevant experience in FMCG, Food Processing, Pharmaceuticals, or other commodity-intensive industries will also be considered.
• Proven track record of leading strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, commodity buying, and cost optimization.
• Strong understanding of government policies, excise regulations, commodity markets, and supply chain dynamics affecting Grain Neutral Alcohol.
• Hands-on experience with SAP ERP and Microsoft Office applications.
