Job summary

Rexel Group in India seeks a senior procurement leader to design and drive strategic sourcing, supplier onboarding, and cost optimization across manufacturing and indirect categories.

You will mentor teams, lead negotiations, and partner with operations, finance, and quality to strengthen the supplier ecosystem and ensure continuity.

Experience: 15+ years in sourcing with MBA or CPSM/CIPS preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field and MBA or professional procurement certification preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain, or Category Management within Manufacturing.
• Proven expertise in sourcing raw materials, components, capital equipment, MRO, and indirect procurement.
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and influencing skills with success in managing high-value supplier contracts.
• Track record of delivering significant cost savings, supplier performance improvements, and procurement transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead identification, evaluation, and onboarding of new suppliers, markets, and sourcing opportunities to strengthen the supplier ecosystem and mitigate risks.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure long-term partnerships, service excellence, and value creation.
• Drive supplier negotiations, contract management, and commercial discussions to secure favorable terms, improve profitability, and enhance supply assurance.
• Design and implement sourcing strategies that improve operational efficiency, reduce procurement costs, and optimize total cost of ownership (TCO).
• Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, supply chain disruptions, and industry developments to proactively identify risks and opportunities.
• Lead supplier performance management, including quality, delivery, cost, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align sourcing strategies with business requirements.
• Establish and govern sourcing policies, processes, and best practices to ensure compliance, sustainability, and ethical procurement standards.
• Drive digital transformation and process improvement initiatives within sourcing and procurement functions to enhance productivity and decision-making.
• Mentor and develop sourcing teams, fostering a high-performance culture focused on innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Support business expansion and strategic projects through effective sourcing, supplier development, and risk management strategies.
