Job summary

SheJobs Group is seeking an experienced SONIC Forwarding Developer in Bengaluru with 10+ years of experience in C/C++, networking, and data-plane technologies. You will work on L2/L3 forwarding, ACL, QoS, firewall, and VPN features, collaborating with hardware vendors to implement ASIC-specific forwarding capabilities.

The role involves designing, developing, and testing data-center networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, VXLAN) and optimizing IP forwarding software for large-scale deployments.

Qualifications

• Proficient in C/C++ with strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Experience in data structures and algorithms.
• Networking/IP forwarding expertise including ACL, QoS, and firewall.
• Experience with L2/L3 forwarding, L2VPN/L3VPN.
• BE/ME/MS in EE/CS or related discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Exposure to Python and Go.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software components using C/C++, with exposure to Python and Go.
• Work with hardware vendors to implement ASIC-specific forwarding features.
• Design, develop, and test data-center networking protocols such as BGP, OSPF, VXLAN.
• Develop and optimize IP forwarding/data-plane software.
• Improve software performance, scalability, and reliability for large-scale deployments.
• Collaborate with hardware, QA, and networking teams for end-to-end solution delivery.
• Troubleshoot complex networking and software issues and perform root-cause analysis.
